Any recommendations on a naturally minded doctor in the Yelm/Lacey/Oly area that takes insurance?
Sherry M. replied:
Yes, NW Center for Natural Medicine, Dr. Steve and/or Dr. Cheryl Plaza (we use Dr. Steve, sis uses Dr. Cheryl) they have treated with supps, acupuncture, shots, and diet. Love them. Dr. Steve I am more familiar with but he has an MD as well as the Naturopath license. www.nwcentermed.com/

Sound family medicine in Puyallup and also Bonney lake. Dr. McDonald or any on the ruby red team are amazing. Been my doc for almost 16 yrs. Actually listens to her patients and takes the time to get to know.
Katrina G. replied:
Olympia OBGYN is awesome!!! All the doctors and nurses there along with the staff are extremely polite and patient. They always make me feel comfortable and dont mind taking the time to talk through things. Im so glad i got to experience them with my second child!

Dr Baghdadi at st Joseph medical pavilion I've used him for 14 years his office is amazing and all of the doctors that work there
Myrna P. replied:
Dr Poore at Multi Care in Tacoma (Tacoma General). He, and the other docs in his office, use the Da Vinci method for surgery (if you're thinking you might have to go that way). Much less risk and shorter recovery time. I returned to work for professional development and meetings 5 days after a hysterectomy. I was teaching 4 th grade on the first day of school, 2 weeks after surgery.

I am a licensed child care provider in Yelm...20 years. There is a need for that area. Washington State requires that you be licensed by the Department of Early Learning. Start by contacting them. www.del.wa.gov You can private message me if you have questions or just want to chat about opening a child care.
My doctor retired and we need a new one I’d like to find one in the Yelm area if possible.
Who is good out here?
Orlonda R. replied:
Dr. Wardrop at yelm family medicine

I just saw Dr. Whelms who replaced Van Fleet Green. I REALLY liked her. I have never had a doctor show so much care and concern for my asthma and explain to me in terms I can understand the reason why I need to be more aggressive and proactive in testing my lung function. Highly recommend her.
Bill S. replied:
All of the doctors at YFM are great. I personally go to Dr. Larsen
Delila T. replied:
Yelm family medicine= Dr Dourhaur
Elizabeth P. replied:
I like Dr Sweet at yelm family med. I have a rare-ish and hard to pronounce genetic condition, and unlike my former doc at sound family med, she actually looked up the new information on it and read the handouts I gave her instead of telling me i was making it all up like he did. so i got referred to the proper specialists and got the testing I needed. highly recommend.
Amy H. replied:

Sheryl B. replied:
If you are new to the area you should establish care with a doctor. Yelm Family Medicine has many doctors and if they accept your insurance the co pay is going to be the same wherever you go. And they have xray services there.
Christina G. replied:
If you can't get into Yelm Family then I'd go to MultiCare in Spanaway. The wait is going to be really long but the copays aren't bad and they customer service is good
John B. replied:
the Multi Care Urgent Care is usually pretty quick getting you in(if you go early) never had to be there longer than a hour.
