Stay away from Ryan homes! My sister used them and has had nothing but problems. Poor ventilation in the basement causing mold. Leaking around windows causing water damage. Roof missing shingles after one good storm in barely a year.

Curtis Graf (Owner) of Graf Custom construction is an awesome home builder and an even better man. Here’s his website: https://www.grafcustomhomes.com

If you know to avoid Heartland Homes, you're 1/2 way there.

Similar situation, watching this thread with interest. Wondering if anyone has experience with: * Wayne Homes * Khovian * Schumacher * Shawn Weaver Homes

DSA Builders, inc. in Allison Park. Great family-owned business. I've been in my dream house for almost 5 years and I've never had any issues. The owner, Dave, was amazing throughout the entire process. Highly recommend.

I built with Ryan a few years ago. I would not recommend anything under the NVR umbrella (Ryan and Heartland both are). I didn’t have issues, but I know some basics and asked for additional items (for example a french drain and waterproofing, flattening out the yard a bit more). I also had my own inspections for each phase instead of trusting theirs. Several of our neighbors had huge issues with water. I would advise anyone building a house to know the basics and take some onus in making sure it comes together correctly so you don’t run into issues down the line.

My boss had a good experience with infinity. I think it’s a mix between Ryan etc and a true custom home in that they do neighborhoods but you can actually customize it. He did a live in area in thebasement for his special needs kid and their support workers.
