I'm in need of a new, good vet for my service dog, service dog in training, & our rescued/foster cats. I want a veterinary practice that is more reliable than the low-cost clinics where basic vaccinations & care are handled by an ever-changing cast of staff/vets, and something (a least a smidge) less expensive than the more & more common practices where the waiting areas resemble a Cracker Barrel: retail items to buy for pets & pet lovers & "complimentary" coffee & snacks for pet owners.
I live in Dickinson, about 10 minutes south of Clear Lake & Baybrook Mall, right off of 45. I'm willing to travel up to 30 minutes in any direction, but given I have a health issue that waxes & wanes (MS), a shorter commute would be greatly welcomed. Surely there are still well-educated, experienced veterinarians who believe more about the health & wellness parts of animal healthcare than the business & profits parts ... Right?
Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
