Joseph’s Legacy strives to regain hope and respect for all animals. We educate the public of the reality of animal welfare and lack of awareness. Joseph’s Legacy teams with rescues and shelters nationwide to save lives.
It all started when we got a call about a German Shepherd who needed our help. He had been tied to a tree in a backyard in Middletown, Ohio for up to 4 yrs. Emaciated, heartworm positive, with horrible chronic ear infections and just ready to give up, we got the news involved to get donations for his huge vet bill (that was about $7000) and he went viral. We named him Joseph because of Joseph in the Bible who was left for dead and ended up being a king. We raised over $100,000 that went to the no kill shelter that took him and found him a home. Then we kept getting calls to save others who needed help. We formed a team of animal lovers and help animals of all types (so far that includes ducks, a love bird and rabbits) in the Middletown, Ohio area. We are working very hard to have a rescue center so that we can save many more.

It just wasn't a good option for someone with sensory issues unfortunately. The big thing we need to find in a dog is low shed/low dander. Other than that our wish list consists of something medium to large (50 pounds or more) and preferably around 2 years old. The low shed is a must though.
