A few weeks ago, a scared, skinny cat showed up in our neighborhood. I put out food and water, he gained weight, and now loves attention. I found a home for him as a barn cat if I would get him fixed. I took him yesterday to animal adoption foundation and got him fixed. The problem is, when I picked him up, they said he has an upper respiratory infection. He can't be put out in a barn while it's cold because he will get pneumonia and die. The dr gave me the name of the medication he needs, and said to call my vet to see if I can get the meds without taking him in. I called my vet, and they said no. It will cost at least $60 for a visit and a prescription of Clavamox. I don't really have the extra money to spend on him. Do any of you know of a vet that might treat him without seeing him. I'm open to any suggestions. Just want to find him a home.
