  I used to have a VW and would take my car to Revolution Motors. They're always nice, helpful, and seem honest. I took my car in for a "christmas check-up" special ($45) and they basically took my car apart and told me what was wrong with it. The repairs were more expensive than the car itself (it was 10 yrs old - $1500 in repairs). I told them that I would just purchase a new car and the mechanic literally said "that's probably a great idea. We'll put it back together and you can pick it up this afternoon". They only charged me the $45 for the check-up. I like to refer these guys. And they have awesome reviews on google. 809 Capitol Court, Austin, TX (512) 453-5050
