  Hey all! Does anyone know where to get a puppy around here? NOT a $1,000 "designer breed" (aka mutt lol). I've called 3 shelters and a few rescues, and none seem to have puppies (why is that??). Looking for a puppy that will be medium to large when grown. Preferably somewhere that has more than one to choose from, so we can see their personality (way more important than looks hahaha). Unfortunately, no pit bull or German Shepherd mixes :( Thanks for any and all leads!!

  i volunteer with Cause for Paws of NC, and they have a couple of events left this month...one tomorrow evening, and one on sunday, jan. 29. there is a volunteer link on their website. it's really fun...just hanging out and holding puppies to help get them adopted! www.cfp-nc.org
