  Recommendations for insurance? I just recently took over running a small school and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for insurance. I'm in the process of shopping around for new providers. I'm familiar with Martial Arts Group. Anyone have good experiences with certain companies? Just want to get a handle on my options. BTW when I say small I mean, like, no more than 30-40 students (currently). It's a labor of love :)

  Better than my old club. I'm interested in what options are available, too. I think I used karateinsurance.com before. And before that I used AAU Taekwondo.

  Liability insurance, the less pleasant side of running a martial arts business. What company do you use? About how much is the cost? Any valuable tips when searching for liab ins? My insurance broker said to see if any organizations I belong to have a plan that members can take part in. Does NWMAF have such an insurance plan? I was told that someone was looking into this.   Liability insurance IS tricky. When I had my own school, I used karateinsurance.com. Don Baldwin is the agent and is very good. It is medical insurance for fitness and martial arts classes. You can ask about the applicability for general liability. NWMAF has used this the last few years for camp insurance. We may have to move away from him this year due to increased coverage rules, but I would start there! (Teddie)

  I am using it now for the 2 nd time. Karateinsurance.com $450 for 12 months. Covers up to 50 people. They also send you a waiver template. An easy thing for them Down points is that I was looking at canceling earlier this year & did not happen. I am now the liaison for insurance for the American Bando Association it is a lot to look into. . For the most part I'll tell you separately Good luck.
