BUYER BEWARE... Thought Pop's was great when he came out same day to fix my refrigerator. Unfortunately, I was wrong! When Pat, the owner, came out, he didn't say much but supposedly fixed the fridge pretty quickly. I thought it was pretty odd that he didn't tell me what was wrong and the price before he went ahead and fixed it but he said he had to change the compressor and charged me about 250 which I felt was reasonable. After bashing another company and telling us how he has many arguments with customers I felt a little uneasy but the fridge was fixed and he left. About 2 weeks later, I noticed the fridge and freezer weren't getting cold, the same issue we called Pop's to fix. No one answered so my husband left a message. He called back the next day, 12/23 and the lady said someone would be out Monday and they would call in the morning to give a time. Well no one called Monday morning so my husband called and the lady said someone would be out Tuesday. Okay fine. Well again, no one called Tuesday morning so my husband called and spoke to a man that sounded just like Pat, the owner. The man said that his tech called out due to illness and that someone would be out the next day, Wednesday 12/29. The man (Pat) was also explaining to my husband that the compressor is probably broken and we should look for a new fridge. So for clarification I got on the phone to ask why the compressor he replaced was broken. He said that he didn't replace the compressor, he just replaced a piece of it which is not what he told me when he was here. He said he would come out and waive the fee to look at it so I agreed. But, I asked him if someone would really be out the next day because it was the 3rd time we were promised and no one came. He said he couldn't help if the techs called out which is true. However, when I asked if he, Pat the owner, could come and look at it since he was the one who "fixed" it the first time, he told me he wasn't one who fixed it. When I asked who fixed it, he said Pat. Now I'm really confused because Pat is the guy who came to fix it as well as the owner of Pop's Appliances. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone was the owner but said he didn't fix my fridge. I don't know enough about appliances to know if Pat would be able to tell if the compressor was shot before he "fixed" it so I was going to give him another chance. But the lack of communication and the bold faced lies are not what I look for in a professional honest small business.
Looking for someone to come out and look at our refrigerator. Vents keep freezing up despite our efforts of unplugging and defrosting it several times. Local Recommendations please?
