Dog neutering in Queens under $200? I have a 5-month-old Shiba Inu. We're looking to get him neutered in the next month or so. Our vet quoted us $350. I know the ASPCA has mobile units that do the procedure on the cheap but does anyone have any other vet practices they can recommend in the Jackson Heights/Woodside/Sunnyside area for a worried dog mom?

fwiw the neuter surgery is a realtively simple operation, as compared to say surgery for a female, so the ASPCA fix is not a bad option. however, another option for inexpensive spay/neuter is to get a certificate from Muffin's Pet Connection. dog neuter is $65 through a participating vet. note that the vets usually find additional fees to charge but the overall cost will be way less than the $350 you quoted. http://www.muffins.org/
My neighbor has an indoor female cat about 3 years old that needs to be spayed. I really like the vet I use, but they charge just under $400 to get it done. Can anyone offer a less expensive place to get it done? Thanks

With Muffin's Low Cost Spay/Neuter certificates, it's $65. Note: shots, pain management and antibiotics are NOT included with certificate. Here's the link tp purchase: http://www.muffins.org/spay.htm. Here's the link to see the list of participating vets on LI: http://www.muffins.org/LI_Vet_List.htm
