I have no problem with paying some money and getting properly fit for a frame and crank - do any shops in town do this? edit: if there are any employees of a local bike shop who happen to read this, I'm also not averse to your moonlighting.

  http://www.europavelo.org Seriously, Demetri is the man. He measured me and asked me what I wanted to do with my (not yet purchased) bike and gave me a list of 5 different models that would be a good fit. Then when I got the bike, he completely adjusted it to fit perfectly.
