  Help Portland burners! My guy and I need some work done on our BM bikes and shock among shocks, can't find a bike shop in town willing to work on burning man bikes! They aren't in THAT bad if condition really. Any suggestions or bike wizards who wanna make some extra cash before the burn? Hate to have to purchase a new bike! Seems wasteful at best! Both are vintage steel cruisers, no gears! Spanks a lot!!

  That happened to me when I took my last playa bike to the CCC in '09 - they told me to go to The Bike Farm ( http://bikefarm.org/ ) and I had a great experience there. They will work on just about anything and have a cooperative teaching business model: you pay them $5/hr to teach you how to work on your bike, and they have a variety of tools and replacement parts. Do message TomCat , but consider Bike Farm as a backup option if that first one doesn't work out for whatever reason.
