Appointments are normally around a hour but actual donation only takes 5-10 minutes. You can find more information at www.blood.co.uk I've found the staff lovely since I returned to donating last year.

Beautiful Planet on Friargate does plenty of vegan snacks, and Preston Health Foods on Guildhall Street offers plenty of vegan and health food. 2) No FNB at the moment but we should really be organising one! 3) go to blood.co.uk and search for Preston, there is usually one event per month.
