  Anywhere buy appliances for refurbishing? Hi all, I'm aware of places where you (a consumer) can buy refurbished appliances, but does anyone know of any places that buy people's old/broken appliances so they can be refurbished? I have a nice dryer that *just* went out of warranty and shakes like crazy. Still works, electronics are fine, includes a steamer function, etc. I'm sure if someone knew how to fix it, it would be relatively easy and probably be valuable as a refurbished product.

  Sounds like you just need to level your dryer. Experiment by placing some wood (or whatever) shims under the corners of the dryer Like the old "technique" of placing a matchbook under the leg of a table to level it out and stop it from wobbling Same principle... If that doesn't work, call Home Appliance Service. 519-742-4388. They will fix it up for a lot cheaper than buying a new dryer, not to mention alot less hassle

Had a guy out today and he said sounds like our drain is blocked and wanted 180 to look ...I said No. (Seemed really expensive just to look) then charged me 60 bucks for being here for 10 minutes. I had them (it's a family affair, 2 brothers and a nephew I think) out a couple months ago to fix my dishwasher, I have recommended them to friends who now use them. Don't be surprised if they want come out right away when you call .......
