Can anyone suggest a unique or cool place to have a bridal shower. Outdoor or indoor. Preferably a free venue, if not then not more than $200. Portland/ Salem and surrounding areas?

taborspace.com , east portland community center, mt.scott community center (both community centers are represented on the same website and also have other community centers, check out which one is closest to you, also have options for wedding venues)
I have a friend looking for an indoor venue available in June that can handle a large guest list, 250-300+. She likes vintage, wood, brick, etc and doesn't have a huge budget. Any ideas?

taborspace.com , I haven't personally seen in person but looks nice in the photos it's fairly cheap($50-$80/hr for reception depending on which room you choose, and sanctuary $150/hr) they also have rooms to rent (something like $12/hr) for bridal part y to get ready and some that would work for the men. , since the day we needed was booked we found a church, Gresham methodist church $1550 they have table linens, coffee pots and punch bowls, tables and chairs. http://www.greshamumc.com/weddings , the pastor is very nice and not pushy on counseling, and they offered for us to use there projection screens for a slide show smile emoticon
