  Depends on what kind of learner you have and what kind of homeschool momma you are! Timberdoodle.com has some great stuff! (Especially for wiggly boys who learn better through play than books.) We like Singapore Math a lot. For art, there are books on Amazon like 50 Great Artists you should know, 50 Great Paintings You Should Know, etc. We do that one day a week and art projects one day a week. We use Story of The World for history, but it definitely has a Christian emphasis and feel. The Write Start is an awesome book full of activities to help develop writing skills and ideas for how you can encourage writing. I also love Bob Books for beginning readers.

  I really like the ones from timberdoodle.com. We are currently using it for 4 th, 3 rd, and 1 st. They take what they like best for each subject and put it in a package so it's not all the same company. And you can personalize it if there's something you want to switch in the package.

  The Critical Thinking Skills in Science book one and book two (Timberdoodle.com has them) They are elementary science experiments that are scripted (they tell you what to say so that the children figure things out as you go) My friend who taught high school science said the content of the books is the same content she taught in high school science and she would carry these books around like they were made out of gold.

  Timberdoodle.com has hands on stuff and HewittHomeschooling.org has a pass test that will tell you which specific skills she has mastered in Math, English and Reading, and which skills she has missed in Math, English and Reading. And it places the three different areas at what grade level they are each in because they can be different grade levels for each. For the emotional issues check DianneCraft's behavior and nutrition material to help her. Dianne is an educational consultant for homeschool legal defense and she explains that among other causes, depression can be caused by a yeast infection in the intestines that interferes with the production of serotonin which is the feel good chemical in the brain and also the cod liver oil helps with inflamation in the brain that causes depression and some drs are using it to treat depression.
