  I ran pediatric and Orthopedic clinics for 15 years, most of those years being in DFW. There are NO "true" pediatric orthopedic surgeons in our area. The closets is in Plano. While most adult orthopedic surgeons can treat children, there are certain ortho problems/injuries that children develop that should be treated by a dedicated pediatric specialist. The closets and most comprehensive program is at Scottish Rite in Plano. http://www.pediatricsportsmedicine.org/
