  Biting the bullet Hello all! finally going to buy my first thrower. I wrote a while back about an amazing flash light I saw on vacation that a tour guide had and the beam was like a light saber reaching into the sky. I think based off my description people thought it was a k1 thrower. Is this still a great contender for a far throwing flash light? Looks like it throws just shy of a mile. If so where do you recommend buying from and, if I remember correctly, you can choose some options on the light? What would I be looking for, for something with a good clean light that throws far? Hopefully a light that isn't too yellow or too "sterile" white. ​ Thanks so much!

  The K1 is also currently available on illumn.com. It is a little more expensive, but you could buy your light and batteries at the same place and get them much quicker if you're in the US.

  OPV has embut if you wanna look at some different batterys http://www.illumn.com carrys them all and there all authentic LG, Sony's, and Samsungs if you need some better ones for a mech going from a efest to a vtc4 in my nephos its a big difference

  Mnke are not very good. There are so many other batteries on the market that are so much better. I order batteries from illumn.com. mnke were popular over a year ago. They're also not the same chemistry as current batteries. Any short will cause a violent vent compared others that will just hiss a little and get super hot. I've seen mnke blow like a pipe bomb.

  I prefer Samsung 25 r's, mxjo's are good also, I've had good results with the imren green's as well... those 3 price wise, mxjo cost the most, then Samsung, then imren last I checked, illumn.com is a good source of legit batteries on the cheap... I got my samsung 25 r's and mxjo yellow on ebay from seller diyproject888, genuinecells is also a legit seller on ebay.
