Has anyone been to Worldmark New Orleans? Do I need a car rental to get around? Any ideas when is the best time to visit as far as the weather. Thanks.

As Glenn says a car is not needed in town but if you want to visit the surrounding area, ,,maybe..but .there are plantation tours that I think will pick you up at Avenue Plaza.. so you probably wont need a car at all Valet parking is available at the resort's garage, at $12 a day (unlimited ins and outs),,If you have a car, this is the best deal in town The St Charles Ave streetcar runs all night long http://www.norta.com/ dont forget to ask for a tour of the Ashley House...the haunted house on the property https://plus.google.com/photos/103011696051496221261/albums/5948580134814826977?banner=pwa
Does anyone know what school we will be assigned to for 2012/2013? Just wondering for housing purposes...

To expand on what Spencer said, both the St. Charles and Canal street car lines here are a bit scrappy. During rush hour they tend to come rapidly, but move slowly. During off hours they came infrequently and move even slower. Buses in my experience usually come within ten minutes of when the schedule says they will. However, some lines have odd hours. Check out http://www.norta.com/. All three schools we are serving in, John Dibert, Langston Hughes, and Green are K-8 elementary schools run by FirstLine Charter Management Organisation.
