  Hey Front Range Mamas...it would seem as though Kaiser Permanente insurance does not cover maternity other than at the very local KP Exempla Hospital where there are no midwives on staff and your delivery is assigned to whatever doctor is on call at the time. Holy Ina May! Anyone familiar with a midwife friendly KP hospital in the area? Advice?

  From Ashley Rael Hi my name is Ashley i am 23 i live in Denver Colorado and about 6 weeks pregnant with my second i had a terrible hospital birth with my first and i really want to do a more natural birth with a dula or midwife like a water birth or something i don't no where to look i have medicaid insurance and i can get any natural midwife places to accept me i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find someone to help me do this it would be greatly appreciated thanks so much for any help or advice

  COLORADO PROVIDER NEEDED: "I have a friend who just moved to the Boulder, CO area. She was working with midwives, but found out today that she is pregnant with twins. She would really like to have a natural birth (had a water birth with her first child). However, she is concerned about the level of intervention already being suggested and about the fact that she cannot continue with the midwife practice because they won’t deliver twins. She’d like to deliver at the birth center in Boulder. Is it possible to post this to see if anyone has any information about an OB who would be appropriate given her wishes? She really knows no one out there who could make recommendations. Thanks for any help and for all the hard work you're doing to improve birth and advocate for women/families/babies."
