My Girlfriend - Christina - and I are landing in Vegas on 26th August at 10am and heading to our first Burning Man. We're incredibly excited but so far we have noooo idea how we will get to BRC from Vegas. Does anybody pleeeease: Have any general advice on the best way to make the pilgrimage? OR Are you (or someone you know) making the journey with spare spaces for two virgin burners? OR Do you have any general advice for us as to what we should pick up in Vegas and how? E.g. where can we get 100L of water etc etc.? I realise we haven't left much time to sort things out after we land but this a lesson for our future selves! We're heading onwards, maybe to Yosemite, after the burn so we only need a lift on the way there. Thank you 1 billion times for any help you can give.

My mom is going through some pretty serious health stuff and I'd like to know if there's some way for my sisters to get messages to me. I hear there's internet somewhere central -- can you actually check messages using this? Is there some sort of central switchboard? Are there any theme camps for incoming messages in the way that there's one for mail? Thanks for any advice.

A: Emergency messages should be sent to 911(at)burningman.com . The message will be passed to the Black Rock Rangers, who will do their best to deliver it. We will also make the message available at Playa Info in Center Camp, so if you're awaiting news or expecting emergency transmissions, you might want to plan to check in each day.
