  This special little guy has just joined our Paws Family and needs your help. Abner is about five months old and was born on a farm. According to the family who rescued him, he was hit by a car when he was about 3 months old and suffered a broken front leg. His leg has healed but it has not healed well; he now walks on the back of his paw with his leg bent. This has caused a quarter size infected sore to develop because he is constantly wearing the skin off the back of his paw from walking on it. A few days ago he got into a fight with another animal which left a dime size sore on the back of his ear. Abner was taken to the vet yesterday and it was decided that his leg is too damaged to save and needs to be amputated. The vet wanted to give him a few days on an antibiotic and being fed regular meals to be sure he is strong enough to undergo surgery. Surgery is scheduled for Monday morning. Please help us raise $300 to pay for his much needed surgery. We can't do this without our community support!!
