  We've used Aztech Architecture in the past, http://www.123 plans.co.uk/ who were always good to deal with, and more recently Edward Davies in Clifton, http://www.edwarddavies.co.uk/, also good, although there were a few little glitches. I don't think there's such thing as a not too expensive architect, though!
