Hi all! I'm On my way to register my dog with a vet! But cannot decide between the Australian vet or German vet? Recommendations required please? Thank you!
Christine B. replied:
We love Dr. Jonathan Hale at British Vet. He's also an excellent surgeon. We have 2 labs. He expertly repaired the knee of one...and has cured one of bladder stones. He's really fantastic and caring and very attentive.

I did think about the British vet! But have had one person tell me Australian vet and one person say the German vet lol! Is the British vet pricey?
Jo B. replied:
We use Australian Vet in KCA near Al Forsan but it's for a cat not a dog - the vet there had been excellent but no experience of anyone else so can't comment on them
Claire M. replied:
We took our dog to Australian vet! Seems to be fine! Hopefully we won't have to make many trips to the vets anyway!

Apologies for the long post, but I feel strongly about this as we recently had to deal with the worst part of being a pet owner. I have had good experiences at both the German and Australian vets. But, last fall, we had to put my beloved 12 yr old cat to sleep as he had cancer. Katie at the Australian vet called me with the initial diagnosis after his stomach swelled, and she was kind and informative. They worked with us through a series of options and we decided on steroids that would slow the cancer growth and with their support opted out of the major - and possibly fatal - surgery he'd have to endure to try and remove he cancer. We took him back for checkups and they were so patient and thoughtful through it all. My kitty lived another 4 healthy months before he became truly sick. When the time came, Dr. Fadi Doud walked us through everything and was so kind and gracious. It was the worst case scenario but the whole thing - from diagnosis to the final goodbye - was handled beautifully and we felt well-informed and respected. Highly recommend.

I had a very bad experience with British vet. Book for Dr Rachel to do a spraying op for my bunny n they change to Dr Johnathan WITHOUT informing me!! The result of the operation was devastating... No apology from Dr Johnathan about the bad administration part, but told me he has made the administration better in the future!! Suck!!!
Hello, can anyone recommend a good dog vet in Abu Dhabi please? Thanks in advance.

The German Vet in Khalifa City have always been great with our Labradors.
Chris A. replied:
American veterinary centre have been excellent from importing, annual check ups and boarding at their kennels in musaffah. The data from kennel weigh ins is shared with the vets and forms part of their annual check up.

Dr Fadi - Australian vet KCA. Wouldn't go anywhere else personally...
Ornella B. replied:
Australian veterinary hospital, better prices and good doctors. My second option would be BVC.
Kristen M. replied:
We love Dr Fadi at the Australian Vet in KCA, but if you are in the city I would recommend the American vet (we were over charged and poorly treated by the BVC personally)
