As a fairly new resident, I'm looking for a female primary care physician in the area. I currently have a PCP in East Granby, CT and don't mind the drive to the office,...
Catherine M. replied:
I recommend either dr. Benjamin with Riverbend in Agawam or Kim Buckner with Northern Edge in Springfield (the nice part if Main Street). Northern Edge is part if Baystate Medical Practices.
Kristin G. replied:
I and my daughter see Dr Cichon at metcy medical group on carew street behind mercy hosp. She is very smart, nice, and any testing is done right there or across parking lot at mercy hosp. You call there and they will tell you to send ur records for dr to review and then they call u with an appt or u can bug them like i did for a week. They also have a female GI PA that is better than dr goldman in same office. She is wonderful too. 734-8254.
Kimberly W. replied:
Dr. Jean Johnson in feeding hills is great too
Jennifer B. replied:
Julie Abert at Mercy Medical Group on Springfield St is a nurse practitioner but is a pcp and very nice.
Jennifer M. replied:
I also have Dr. Benjamin at Riverbend in Agawam. I normally prefer a male doctor, however, she has been amazing. She listens when I have concerns, never rushes me, if she doesn't know about something, she does the research to get the information. I am not sure about hospital affiliations, I have been to both Baystate and Mercy with no negative experiences at either. Also, the plus to Riverbend is the online component. You can pay your bill, email, view test results and medical history online. Pediatrics at Riverbend, however, I am not a fan.
Rosemary S. replied:
I have Dr BENJAMIN at Riverbend on Main St. She is my suggestion
Amy D. replied:
Julie Albert she is a nurse practitioner at mercy health in feeding hills. Love her. I still have the choice to go to baystate if need be
Shannon P. replied:
I agree with all of the above recommendations.. If you're seeking a female, Dr. Hayfron-Benjamin at river bend in Agawam is fantastic! She's my PCP.. Julie Abert is also an amazing nurse practitioner who I actually used to work with. She's lovely and has incredible bedside manner. As a nurse practitioner, she can prescribe medications and do pretty much everything an MD does. If she needs to consult an MD it would be Dr. Chauhan, who is in the same office and is an excellent physician. They're all very thorough and will know you as an individual rather than just one of their many patients. Good luck to you.
Rose K. replied:
Dr. Hession or Dr. Countermarche at Enfield Medical Associates in Enfield,CT
Jeri-Ann B. replied:
Riverbend agawam, Dr. Cody
Nicole A. replied:
Hamden county physicians. ..if you ask for Dr. Ungar (he's a male dr) you will actually get his female assistant every time you visit cause I he is ridiculously busy. But that's probably the best physician I've ever had. They always made sure to check for things, even if u have the littlest of symptoms, that most Dr's would just ignore or say it's just a cold or w.e...they are great and they're in east Longmeadow
Alyson C. replied:
I go see Dr Abbie Cortemanche at Enfield Medical. LOVE her.
Beth S. replied:
I see Dr Jessica Anchor-Samuels at Riverbend in Agawam. I don't know hospital affiliation but she's been great! So nice to stay right in town.
Nancy V. replied:
Julie Abert is my pcp at Mercy Medical Group in Agawam. Love her!
Stacy T. replied:
I LOVE Dr.Hayden-Benjamin@Agawam Riverbend, I can't say enough wonderful things about her, and Riverbend is affiliated w/ Mercy Medical Center. Two wins in my book!!! Good Luck!!!!:)
Looking for primary care doctor..any suggestions. I made a mistake going to riverbend . They are nothing but a joke. Ive been with them now for 4 years and have had...
Alyson C. replied:
I go to Enfield Medical Associates. Never had a problem.
Johanna S. replied:
I also do not like Riverbend and will be switching. I do not recommend Dr. Jacobson though, he misdiagnosed something very obvious with one of my family members.
Gina M. replied:
Baystate Northern Edge Medical, 794_8777
Pam P. replied:
Dr. Neil Lakritz in Springfield~he is the very best! Springfield Medical Assoc.
Danielle P. replied:
I agree, my whole family goes to Dr Jacobson
Brenda G. replied:
Yes Riverben is a jok. I worked for them for 6 months and even thast was too long. If you saw how they un behind the scenes, you would freak. They treat patients like they aren't human. Test that need to be done aren't and most of the facilities are not the cleanest. I would not trust any doctor or staff their to care for my medical needs. I had a great doctor, in Belchertown, but her retired and now I am looking for a new PCP. Noble Express, which will be opening on N.Westfield St in FH by the end of January will have some good PCPs. The building is almost done. Stay away from Riverbend!!!!!
Tammy B. replied:
Dr Jacobson, part of the mercy group I think. They r in southwick now but r moving soon to Agawam near pride
Lisa R. replied:

Carla C. replied:

Does anyone have a primary care doctor they actually like who listens to them and doesn't make them come in for needless appointments just to get another copay?
Alyson C. replied:
Enfield Medical. Dr. Lisa Howard.
Amy B. replied:
Dr. Joanna Cichon Mercy Medical Group in Springfield.
