We had a horrible experience with one of the assistants at VisionFirst Eye Center. We had booked an appointment at least a week in advance so this wasn't a last minute can you fit us in thing. Apparently we were this assistants last patient of the day. (Around 1 pm-1:30 on a friday) She was so rude to my daughter I was almost to the point of walking out. Everyone else was really wonderful though. I guess my point is don't be the last patient of the day on a Friday there.

Are there any ophthalmologists who practice in/near Alabaster? Not an optometrist, but an MD who specializes in eye disorders, etc. Thanks!!

Dr. Randall Pitts

Dr J. Randall Pitts is an ophthalmologist - he is now with the Alabama Vision Center in Alabaster. I have gone to him for more than 30 yrs and he's the best. They are located across the street from Arby's, next to Papa John's pizza. http://www.alabamavisioncenter-lasik-cataract.com/our-staff/shelby-county/
Vicky B. replied:
Thank you so much for the recommendation of Dr. Pitts!!! He was wonderful- kind and funny, thorough, on time, and even gave my youngest a mini eye exam while waiting for my oldest's drops to kick in.
