I'm going to second Judy Torel. Best trainer/nutritionist/athlete in the Cap Dist. She's hardcore, very professional, and has an amazing resume. She's not cheap, but she's worth it.

Hi Heather! I'm the Marketing Director at VENT Fitness. We do have an on-staff nutritionist who is available to work with all four of our locations (our Guilderland location is a particularly popular spot for ARE members). Please feel free to send me a private message if you would like more details!:)

We've had a few TBs over the years that don't want to eat their grain meals, I've had great luck starting them on Dengie, getting them to start eating that and slowly adding grain. Dengie is the UK product, Lucrene Farms HiFi works, Blue Seal has a Dynasty Forage and Triple Crown Alfalox works as well. The Triple Crown Alfalox supports an ulcer horse as well. The SmartGut in a paste/tube works a little better then straight Probios for us to perk their appetite as well.
Does anyone have any recommendations to a nutritionist/dietitian around here? Looking to consult one, would like to see if anyone has experience with one

I also am looking -- a nurse friend said a dietitian is the way to go, but I can't find any useful info. Hopefully someone here will know. I am planning to reach out to my allergist and see if she has some recommendations on who to contact.

Be wary of nutritionists. Not that they can't have good advice, but there's no requirements to calling yourself one, anyone can.
