Carols cakes gave me the wrong shades on my cake when we gave her the color swatches and the cake itself was good but the icing or fondit whatever the hell its called did not. For $500 for a 3 tier cake I would have expected the colors to be right

Does anyone remember the name of the bakery on second street it would have been in the 60s and 70s right across from where the newer Hon Offices and beside the church??...
Cindy P. replied:
THATS IT!!!!! Georges Bakery!!!
Connie O. replied:
It was Tasty Pastries. It was owned by my grandparents, Ford and Irma Hilton. It closed in 1978, if I recall correctly. Hankins Plumbing was next door toward Mulberry and there was a little grocery on the other side.
Why can't Hopewell get a good little bakery with coffee?? Not just donuts, the whole shebang. What about a Popeyes? A Taco Bell? A Burger King? There's just not enough...
Does anyone know of local bakeries or bakers who do edible printing that would print a custom edible design (I'd supply the design) that I want to apply to sugar...
