Best tattoo shops? I already have tattoos and I love my artist, but I’m looking to gather some new pieces from different artists and styles. Bonus points for any women...

Sick ink in Whitehall . Jesse Probus is the owner , does great work.
ChikaraFan replied:
Sick Ink in Whitehall and Steel City are the only 2 places I've gone in my 20 years of getting tattoos.
John Bicknell from Steel City along with Chris Morillo from Sick Ink are my go to guys. Going into a shop and not knowing who to talk to specifically can be intimidating if you're new to the shop and having someone in mind may be helpful.
Jesse Probus who owns Sick Ink is also amazing but expect long waits for an appointment. I'm talking like a year booked out ahead. There's a reason for that...he's that good! Just know that if you are itching for one in the next few weeks it likely won't be with him.
As far as anyone else who works at those shops, or anywhere else around here really it's not a slight on them I'm just not familiar with their work.
As far as places to avoid, I THINK it's long gone but there was a place called Gator Rick's in Bath that was awful. Overall I think the LV is pretty lucky to have so many good places around.

Raygun Samurai on East 3 rd Street in Bethlehem is amazing! I get my work done by Josh T., but they have four other artists (at least). I believe they have two female artists as well. [https://www.raygunsamurai.com](https://www.raygunsamurai.com)

Question to tattoo people: Everyone says their place is great. Are there any to avoid?

Any legit/recommended tattoo places still around here? I've been thinking about getting a new one, and the last time I got one from around here was Imperial in the early...

I hear very good things about Sick Ink and The Quillian. I've personally had work done at Electric Cheetah and was very impressed by the artists there. Good luck in your search.

http://www.thequillian.com I have heard a lot of good things about this place and have had several friends recommend it to me. http://www.steelcity-pa.com Got my second tattoo from here around 2009 and I was beyond thrilled with the results. I had previously recommended this place to a few friends and they were also quite happy with their work.
ChikaraFan replied:
I personally recommend either Steel City tattoo or Sick Ink.

Sick Ink is good but pricey IME and the have a few apprentices who are good though. I've been going to East Side Tattoo on Union Blvd in Allentown. They have some real great artists over there. Kaitlynn did my last one. Stop by a talk with a few places before deciding. What were you looking for?
