Many retail places are gearing up for the holidays and hiring. K-Mart is hiring. It may start out seasonal but some do offer long-term employment after the holidays are over. In regards to daycare, you may qualify for child care services. The local office has a list of day care centers they work with. Lily Pond in Altoona had "drop in" rates.. depending on the age of the children.. my son is 4 and it costs $33/day hours are 6 am-6 pm covers breakfast, snacks, and lunch.

If you want to stay I. Altoona check the children's place. They were great. Call and ask Chrissy Baker for a tour. We sent Averi there until we moved her into preschool at Creative Kids in duncansville.

Jack goes to The Children's Place...I absolutely love it there. Not only do they treat him like he's their own, but he's learned soooo much! He will be 3 in a couple weeks and he already knows all of his colors, shapes, the alphabet and he can count to 20.

What I do here in Arkansas for Elli is I found her a babysitter. She charges me by the day and is really cheap. So you could go to different websites like care.com or other ones and find an individual babysitter who is in your price range. And then that gives you time to get to know the individual before summer before your son goes over there. U could also go to dhs and apply for child care vouchers. I don't know how dhs in pennsylvania works differently than Arkansas though.
