Finding a derm in AMA is quite challenging. It is tough trying to get in at High Plains Derm. If you see someone at High Olains Derm that you don't like, you are not allowed to see any of the other derms there. I don't care for Dr Cook because if a patient is diagnosed with skin cancer, young or old, she sends them to Lubbock for Moh's surgery and tells them there is no one in AMA that does it. Very untrue since Dr Proffer is a MOHs surgeon. Dr Waller is practicing again at Texas Tech and is wonderful.

I did not use archer, we were using another dermatologist, and we just aren't happy. I've called mc carthy and they are not taking new patients. I called Dr. East and he doesn't take our insurance! Where is Caldwell and posey located?

We used to use Dr. Roberts (At HPD) and he never addressed any of the issue Keith was having with eczema. We switched to Dr. Evelyn Archer. Idk if she is still practicing or not-but she grabbed the bulls by the horns and helped Keith. She doesn't have super friendly bedside manners, but she is thorough, concise, doesn't waste time and she knows what she is doing. Her number is 806-358-8395

Edward & Rebecca McCarthy at Amarillo Dermatology. I see Rebecca & the rest of the family sees Edward. I would suggest Edward because Rebecca only works a couple days a week. We love them & wouldn't go anywhere else.

I just went through this myself... and they are HARD to find because none of them (the good ones) are taking new patients. I ended up with Dr Roberts and I would NOT recommend. UGH! Good luck!!

Don't use Dr. Archer. She made me feel like I was putting her out to remove a mole that had changed color. Not a good experience and she didn't really do a very good job. Good luck!
