I've found Nardi Heating & Air Conditioning to be great; they're incredibly responsive, prices are reasonable (so far, but I haven't had my AC replaced. Yet. *sigh*), and they've gone to a lot of trouble to help me (e.g. coming out on the day before Thanksgiving when everyone else couldn't be bothered).
Suggestions for HVAC companies to do an a/c install?? Or, who to avoid?
Thanks again, Amesbury!

http://www.kearneyhvac.com/ . They installed our furnace, ac, and On Demand Water Heater. They were great and are Mass Save certified so you would qualify for a 0% loan, if you went through the program.

We don't use oil any more but when we did I always used Favorite Fuels. Excellent customer service and their prices are always one of the lowest around.

You can get comparative pricing of local oil companies on line. I think it's newenglandoil.com. but not sure of that.
Ruth M. replied:
Yes I heard the same thing you can use diesel fuel I'd look it up online though I know people who had Stop & Shop gas points and too many to fill their cars use the diesel for the oil tanks

My dryer is heating up and I have a feeling the vent has never been cleaned, or at least not for quite a while. Anyone know of a reasonable company that does dryer vent...
Michelle D. replied:
Please be careful - clothes dryers are one of the biggest causes of house fires. You can't imagine how much lint builds up in the hose and around the drum, which is where the fires start. If you're handy, you can go on YouTube and see how it's done but it is a little bit complicated. 2 years ago my condo complex hired Peabody Air Duct Cleaning. We were able to schedule them quickly and when they were on site they were fast. I cannot recall the gentleman's name who is the owner but he is very personable.
