Can anyone recommend a great veterinarian in Anderson to administer canine vaccinations - at a fair price?
Amy A. replied:
Dr. Herron with Southeastern Pet Vacc is s mobile vet. His phone number for his schedule is 296-5512. I have used him for my dog's needs for 13 years.
Kristina C. replied:
Southeaster Pet-Vacc, phone 296-5512 - which is Dr. Herron. It is a mobile pet vac and he sets up at Dalton Carpets, Quality Foods and Ingles on Hwy 24 - Anderson also has a low cost spay/neuter clinic which will give vaccinations at time of surgery

Magnolia kept telling us that our dog was getting better while he was in their hospital. The next afternoon I called and they said oh I meant to call you this morning that your dog died and the bill is $1245.00 so come pay the bill and get your dog.I take my dogs to the Pet Vac now really like Dr Herron.
Cindy R. replied:
Mary Nan Ellenburg@Happistance in Townville is wonderful. ..mobile vet is good for vacs.
Jacob S. replied:
Yup, doctor Heron with mobile vet is cheapest...but you'll forego the physical exam, which is very important to overall health...alternatively, you can buy vaccs at Tractor supply and administer them yourself, except rabies. Not legal in SC for purchase.
Jacob S. replied:
Yes, I agree. Magnolia used to be a wonderful vet but in the last 2 years some changes have taken place with the staffing and I'm also displeased with them as a whole but I still love Dr. Michael Eaves.
Beverly H. replied:
Liberty Highway Animal Hospital - Dr. Carey Hughes. The whole staff is awesome.
Helen S. replied:
Mobile vet. Dr. Herron .charges a fraction of what others do for vaccines.
Mandie L. replied:
Dr. Herron. Mobile pet vacc. He will be at dalton carpets this Friday from 1-6. Call 2965512 to find out other locations he will be. Very good prices

Dr Herron at Southeastern Pet Vacc with his "mobile office" I've used him for my cats for almost 18 years.
Liz H. replied:
Dr. Stringer on Main Street across from Old Navy is the best
Elizabeth H. replied:
Electric City is expensive, so that suggestion was misplaced.
Joanne B. replied:
Dr. Hendricks for vet care.....Dr. Herron Pet Vac for just routine shots!
Laurie K. replied:
@Elizabeth Marie Hatcher- I've heard Dr Hendricks is very expensive.
Ashley C. replied:
Electric City Animal Clinic is the best! Fair priced is one thing, but always remember you get what you pay for. I can assure you will not leave unsatisfied. Every expectation will be met if not exceeded. Dr. Tope, Dr. Herold, or Dr. Krause will be happy to meet you and your pet!
A P. replied:

@jordan chapman. Banfield Animal Hospital inside PetSmart in Anderson.... btw... They offer payment plans and have some kind of insurance but I don't have either one of those!!
Sabrina C. replied:
Mike N Heather Alcott, Mountain View Veterinary in Pendleton, SC is cheaper than Electric City & Magnolia. Their number is 864-646-7171. They're closed on Wednesdays. Open on Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri. Not sure about weekdays. They're VERY nice & friendly.
Jordan C. replied:

I have heard good things about Electric City... I know they take in strays and try to find homes for them from time to time!
Amanda S. replied:
Electric City is awesome i know a few friends that had bad experience with magnolia
Dovana S. replied:
Electric City!! They are great! Very reasonable. They have a FB page.
Kaitlin S. replied:
I've heard about Magnolia being very expensive too. They wanted $65 to euthanize a MOUSE. Electric City is good, and the people are very friendly. They also see a lot of of animals most vets wont, I take my rats there
Jamie L. replied:
I assume you are around the Anderson area. But I use Walhalla Vet Clinic in Walhalla SC. They are wonderful. Been taking my dogs there for 15 years and would not take them anywhere else. Dr.Oliver is the best he even made a emergency call in for my dog for reg. Charges no emergency charges!! Fox Nest is a OK vet clinic.... I found a dog in the Seneca area and took it up there bc I didn't want it to be ran over and didn't want to take it to animal shelter (to be put to sleep) they told me I had to PAY them to take the dog that wasn't mine in!! That's CRAZY!!! So I took the dog and found home for it good luck! !!
Jamie L. replied:
Yes I was and they wanted 45 to take the puppy. But they are a great vet. Hospital.... it just really threw me go a loop they asked for 45 to surrender a puppy that wasn't mine...it was found on 123 with cars going every which way and I didn't want it to be hit..... the dog was maybe 4 lb and really small. Eric Hidle
I need a good local inexpensive veterinarian. ASAP! Any advice?
Janice C. replied:
Southeastern Pet Vac. He is a mobile vet. His number is 296-5512. When you call, it will tell you where he will be. I think he is in Iva today and will be at Quality Foods parking lot tomorrow. Very reasonable.

Heather V. replied:
I just thought about Southeast ern pet vac also. Casey Brown will tell you he is awesome!
Robert P. replied:
Dr.Tope at the Electric City Animal Clinic on 28 bypass by Rite Aid. He is amazing with Trauma Situations. My dog was shot by my neighbor and he saved his life. He is 13 years old now. It happened in 2001.
Catherine B. replied:
Magnolia is very expensive. Dr. Jones has been out of practice for years, although Liberty Hwy still has a vet practice. They are great and will work with you re: $.
Linda E. replied:
Liberty Hwy is cheapest . I think Dr. Tope is excellent and so is Magnolia but you need to take out a loan to afford them!
Lisa M. replied:
Honea Path is the most reasonable ive found
Linda E. replied:
And I think Dr Jones is deceased. I know his practice has been closed for many years.
Jaime M. replied:
Dr. Hendricks is also the BEST. He has personally met me at the office after midnight when we had an emergency. He has saved numerous pets of mine and he's extremely kind and empathetic.
I'm new to this area and was wondering of an affordable vet in this area? Thanks for any suggestions...
Jacob S. replied:
Electric City vet is a moderately priced vet in Anderson that works with multiple species of animals, incase you have things like birds, goats, ferrets, sugar gliders, etc.
Kristy E. replied:
Liberty Hwy. is great, and decent priced. Electric City has an awesome staff....although, We had to have our hamster put to sleep a few months ago there, and it was $60.00.. Other than that price..lol.. I was pleased with them. They also work with small animals, birds, etc.
Jacob S. replied:
Hayli Grace Evans, when you get your puppy, just so you know, Anderson has a free/low cost spay neuter clinic run by the local Humane Society (not the public intake shelter, but a separate group). That service is available to anyone of any income. There is a standard VERY LOW fee but there is also subsidies for those with no money. Www.achsonline.com. This group started the clinic because the local animal shelter kills 16 animals every single day of the year (2013 numbers) and they are hoping to help reduce the number of animals being killed at that place. I hope you consider adopting a puppy from the local animal shelter!
Chelsea H. replied:
I like stringer animal clinic for anything that dr Herron with southeastern pet vacc can't do. You can call 864-296-5512 to find out where he'll be. (He's a traveling vet)
Lynn S. replied:
I for one LOVE Magnolia for their expertise, care and concern for all the animals that come in their door.
Jacob S. replied:
Affordable cheapest is a travelli g vet called Dr Heron with Southeast PetVacc. This is a vet that hold vaccine clinics in parking lots for dirt cheap pricing.
Jacob S. replied:
In Anderson, there is an Emergency Clinic called Magnolia Vet Hospital. They are also a regular daily operational vet as well. This is the vet I use exclusively. Though some will tell you they are expensive, it is usually the folks that only use them for emergency services. If you are a regular client with their normal vet services, the ER services do not cost you anymore than regular services. This is a big bonus.
Hello! Does anyone know of a good large animal vet? I have a friend and his cow is limping.
Thank you :)
Brenda B. replied:
The do emergency onsite calls for large and small. http://www.clevelandparkanimal.com
Michael S. replied:
Emily Waggoner is ours. I don't know where you're located but she is in Anderson.
Rick B. replied:

Kathy P. replied:
Sean Eastman Twin Oaks Vet in Landrum
Angel D. replied:
^^^ What Brenda Lee Burns said ^^^ Cleveland Park East is great for large animals and they have a mobile van so can come out to your farm. I think it's maybe $60 extra for home visit, but considering how hard it is to move some large animals around, definitely worth it.
Anyone know a reasonably priced vet, my poor little boy cat is losing the hair on his ears suddenly and I want to get him checked but don't have alot of money to spare...
Dana R. replied:
I think the # is 864 296-5512
Pamela L. replied:
Palmetto Animal Clinic is great and not expensive. They have a FB page.
Kimberly S. replied:
I called the pet back and their message says that they're out of town today and going to be at the Ebenezer building in Anderson tomorrow I'm not sure where that is? Too bad because apparently they were right down the road from me yesterday and I didn't know it. I also called Anderson County paws and was told that they don't offer any services to the public for animals that I would have to go to a veterinarian so I guess I have to wait till tomorrow to get over to see Pet Vacc and hopefully they will help me although the person from Paws told me that he usually only gives vaccines.
David H. replied:
Kimberly Santo the pet vacc has most meds a vet carries including allergy shot and antibiotics. My German Shepherds are prone to ear infections, because of their huge ears and he gives them prescriptions frequently to avoid an office visit from their regular vet. He is good when your are in a tight spot and can't afford to see the regular vet.
Shelley B. replied:
FYI Anderson PAWS does nto have a vet clinic they do not treat any pets inthe community
