Please get in touch with Dr. Jeff Gilbert . He's an Upper Cervical Chiropractor. I have been seeing him because I was in a car accident in March. I was rearended. He has been helping me with my neck and also my chronic migraines.
Brooke D. replied:
Dr. Jacoby there is phenomenal.
Mari S. replied:
Dr Heike Schmolck@Mercy is great. She is a mom, so has the ability to listen and brain storm.
Angela D. replied:
I see Dr. Puricelli at Mercy Ruan for my migraines. He put me on topirimate (topamax). And I've had hardly any since in over a year. I also work there and know the doctors personally. His bedside manner lacks a little, but he does listen, and he is a great doctor. He is the specialist in Ruan Neuro for migraines. He may have you get an MRI.

I am a physical therapist. I work in geriatrics. I've seen quite a few patients of Dr. Friedgood and Dr. Jacoby and they both have excellent patient results. There are many reasons that people have migraines...trying all the different diets and such that people recommend would take forever. My advice would be to see a specialist to get to the root of the cause before you waste anymore time and money.

Try Migrelief, it's a natural supplement that you can order from Amazon. My son was recommended this by the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago and has worked wonders!
Ryan Q. replied:
Jeffery Edward Stickel at ADIO resolved my chronic headaches I have had for over a decade. The space between my skull and spine was compressed. Use to have them 4-5 times per week. Now a couple times per year.

My neurologist is Lynn Rankin at Methodist specialty clinic
Amanda D. replied:
I know you said you were limited to Mercy Ruan, but I didn't know if you checked your insurance for other towns. I go to Ames at McFarland Clinic and my neurologist is Katherine Tjaden. She is amazing and thinks outside the box. I had tried everything too and switched to her. She had my headaches under control within a few months. She is always staying on top of new research and will try the things many other doctors don't think of.
Katie H. replied:
I would highly recommend seeing a chiropractic and would definitely recommend Andrew Clement at Clement Chiropractic .
Barry B. replied:
Tabitha Hoskinson Blessing.... thinking of you and possible solutions.
Kelli W. replied:
If you see a Chiropractor, I would recommend Dr. Bjerke or Dr. Martin. They are both in Ankeny.
I am looking for a new pediatric neurologist, anyone have any recommendations?
Diane H. replied:
There aren't that many in Des Moines area. We use Dr Narawong
Shelley M. replied:
If you need to stay in Des Moines, the best choice is Dr. Gutu at Blank. We have chosen to go to U of I and see Dr. Michael Ciliberto.
Connie K. replied:
Ryan Tomilinson at Iowa Clinic at Methodist Hospital. Tell him I recommended him. Great guy.
Brandy B. replied:
We see Dr. Tripathi at Blank
Andrea F. replied:
We use Dr. Narawong. She is older, but very smart and she has an excellent memory. My favorite thing about her is she does not talk down to parents and treat you like you are stupid. She encourages you to have a say in the treatment of your child. Not a lot of specialists do that. She is also very good with the kids:)
Mindy S. replied:
Arnold Menezes, pediatric neurosurgeon, Iowa City
Jennifer E. replied:
Really like Dr Gutu at Blank - have seen Dr Tripathy as well - he was great with my daughter.
