Please get in touch with Dr. Jeff Gilbert . He's an Upper Cervical Chiropractor. I have been seeing him because I was in a car accident in March. I was rearended. He has been helping me with my neck and also my chronic migraines.

I see Dr. Puricelli at Mercy Ruan for my migraines. He put me on topirimate (topamax). And I've had hardly any since in over a year. I also work there and know the doctors personally. His bedside manner lacks a little, but he does listen, and he is a great doctor. He is the specialist in Ruan Neuro for migraines. He may have you get an MRI.

I am a physical therapist. I work in geriatrics. I've seen quite a few patients of Dr. Friedgood and Dr. Jacoby and they both have excellent patient results. There are many reasons that people have migraines...trying all the different diets and such that people recommend would take forever. My advice would be to see a specialist to get to the root of the cause before you waste anymore time and money.

I know you said you were limited to Mercy Ruan, but I didn't know if you checked your insurance for other towns. I go to Ames at McFarland Clinic and my neurologist is Katherine Tjaden. She is amazing and thinks outside the box. I had tried everything too and switched to her. She had my headaches under control within a few months. She is always staying on top of new research and will try the things many other doctors don't think of.

I would highly recommend seeing a chiropractic and would definitely recommend Andrew Clement at Clement Chiropractic .

Delware Family (close to Kohls in Ankeny) has all female doctors. They started the practice to take less patients and have more time with each individual one. Its like having a cup of tea/chatting with a friend. Dr. Deb Smith is wonderful and Dr. Lisa Carlson is the Pediatrition....amazing as well! If I ever moved from Ankeny, I would still drive to go there!

Therefore no pressure is given if you want/need to see a specialist that is NOT in the "family" of the corporation. Most of the time that doesn't matter, until the one time it does! His office can be reached at 515-471-1800 There is also another make Dr. And a female Dr. In the same practice, so if you need seen the same day and he is booked (which rarely happens) one of the others has a spot for you.

Capital Orthopedics. Dr Fish did my hip replacement. They were amazing to work with. Every step of the process.

Went to Dr. Brunkhorst in ankeny for hip issues and I was not a fan. No bedside manner and not a lot of knowledge about people that are involved in flexibility training or gymnastics.

My husband and I have been to all of them. Have seen all "bedside manners" as well as expertise. Strongly recommend Dr Mark Fish at Capital Orthopedics. He's done both my knee replacements and both hips on my husband. With his recovery plan, we both progressed much quicker than many others who went elsewhere.

Dr. Schmidt. DMOS. Best with hip surgeries/replacement for younger people. Dr. Beecher at Iowa Ortho. Don't waste your time, very careless and rude doctor. Hit a nurve in my mom's hip replacement and her leg is still numb a year later. Will do anything to say it isn't his fault.

Dr. Jacobson at Capital Ortho in Clive is awesome to deal with. Thankfully I didn't need the surgery but he was a good listener, answered all my questions and just all-around good to do business with. Had me make another appointment for 6 weeks later after doing PT but told me if I was doing better I didn't need to spend the time or money for an office call just to tell him that. I've never had a Dr. do that before so it was a big plus.

Barron Bremner w DMOS. Will do the minimally invasive anterior approach hip replacement. Recovery is a breeze. Google it...you will see the difference.

I like all the DMOS comments. With your young age, definitely the anterior approach & Dr. Bremner is the only DMOS physician who does the DAHR, so that makes your decision easy ;)

I had knee replacement in 2015 by Dr. Fish and just had Achilles tendon repair by Dr. Lee both are at Capital Orthopaedic. I highly recommend them. Each orthopaedic usually specializes in a body part plus Capital are sports medicine specialist

My husband just had surgery and it was done by Dr. Goldstein. He has great bedside manner and always makes sure his patients are taken care of. My husband was in the hospital for almost a week and felt that he didn't want the nurses to make a fuss over him and when he said something to Dr Goldstein about it he made sure that the nurses knew that he needed to be checked on often and make sure that he had everything he needed. Made sure that he had all his meds on time, and made sure that his antibiotics and pain meds were given when he needed it and made sure that it was under control. Best surgeon that I have ever met. One to stay away from is Dr. Ferhle in Nevada. She did 2 of my 3 knee surgeries and I need a knee replacement and won't do it cause I am too young.

I have had both my hips repaired in the last 9 months and I had Dr Steven Aviles do them. Great guy, straight to the point and couldn't imagine anyone better. He's with Iowa Ortho
