Punny name aside, I went to him for the first time based on his Yelp reviews: http://www.yelp.com/biz/choice-dental-ann-arbor He's fantastic, is not judgmental, and never pushes procedures or things to buy. He always makes me feel like I have a beautiful smile, even though I'm a little bashful about a few crooked teeth.

I live in A2 but my dentist is Dr. Kiss out of Northville - he's done decent work. He's not in my network though so sometimes I've gone to Excel dental - at first I didn't appreciate the rotating dentists as I'd prefer to just stick with one, but Dr. Sandra, who runs the facility, is great and as long as she reviews what work they recommend I feel comfortable. Dr. Sandra doesn't do any of the dentistry work any more but is more like an overseeing doctor. On the flip side, it's nice that there's more than one dentist in the facility as if I have a question I don't have to go to a separate office to ask for an expert second opinion. Also, I can request a specific dentist. They're on Plymouth next to Kroger.

I went to Dr Rice for years. Really great dentist and they renovated their office in the last few years so it's really nice. One of the stations has a massaging dentist chair! But overall she's been fantastic and her crew is great.

I've been seeing Dr Kotre on Huron pkwy for years. Everybody there is friendly and professional. There have been times where I needed to make a last minute appointment due to unexpected issues and they've always been very good at getting me in right away.:)

My trusted dentist is in Saline, so probably not helpful, but just wanted to say avoid Progressive Dental in Domino Farms. They are very much in the "collect as much insurance money as possible" business - very similar to the experience you've described.

I've been seeing Dr. Kolling at Oak Valley Dental for over thirty years. Really great honest guy who I feel always looks out for my pocket book and never pressures me into having a procedure done if I can wait to budget for it.

Kevin Sloan DDS. He is the best. There have been times he suggested doing something that would cost **him** money. He's always been wonderful for us, even my needlephobic son. Can't recommend him fast enough. Rest of the staff is terrific too.

I hate hate hated the dentist and didn't go for years. Finally I gave in and went to Comfort Dental on Eisenhower and have had nothing but great experiences with them. Dr. Reddy is awesome. Very gentle, great bedside manner and super nice and understanding even with someone who needed extra work like me. 10/10 will floss again, and visit for regular cleanings from now on.

Dentist here. Lots of the local docs teach at the dental school, so if that helps... But I'd highly recommend Dr. Dan Edwards at Oak Valley as well.
