Sounds as if the surgery is at the u of m. There is an inn attached to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital called McAuley Inn. Rooms are under $100 per night. The phone # is 734.712.2600. Good luck

Lamp Post Motel is very reasonable and they have a history of lodging families of patients at the nearby hospitals. It's generally a clean affordable place to stay under relatively new management. Close to U-M Hospital too. Comments positive or negative welcome.

Yes, call the Med Inn at U of M at 734-936-0100. If there are no rooms there they can get you a discounted rate at a local hotel. Usually RRI or Microtel.

The Sleep Inn in Milan runs about $65 a night. It's a short drive to A2. We stay there when in town. Clean & quiet with a decent breakfast.

Candlewood Suites on Waymarket way, around $100 a night. But the place is very clean. including fridge, microwave, stove, etc

How about places near Briarwood. There's also Ann Arbor B&B close to downtown. Go on website. Call her, she might give you a break if she knows your situation.
I booked a mule rim ride for next week. It says riders need a broad rim hat. Can a baseball cap work? If it's cold out it's easier to wear a ball cap with ski cap on top...
