www.alexanderweightloss.com He comes here every 4 weeks, does exactly what you're asking. The trouble I had with Weight Watchers is that it encourages a huge amount of artificial foods - artificial butter, sweeteners, etc. That kind of diet will mess up your pancreas and liver.

Can anyone recommend a canine nutritionist in the DFW metroplex?
Stacy G. replied:
Dr. Pam Montgomery -- http://www.vitalitypetcare.com/pages/nutrition.htm However I have always used Lew Olson, PhD from Houston as she will email me right away and she's an actual nutritionist. She has a book out too. Looooove Lew!

Looking for recommendations for comprehensive health care centers. I used to go to a practice in Cambridge where I could see a PCP, nutritionist and pt all in the same...
Mindy P. replied:
You can see a PCP and nutritionist at Family Practice Group in Arlington Center http://fpgcares.com/

I highly recommend Harvard Vanguard. I've been going to the Davis Square center for over twenty five years. They've coordinated my care very well through a few different health issues.
Matt L. replied:
There's always the Mass General main campus, right on the Red Line. I've been seeing my PCP there in the internal medicine group for about 20 years now, and of course every sort of lab, specialist, and service imaginable is either within the main campus or nearby. They also run shuttles between downtown and other MGH facilities, and a lot of practitioners also have office hours at MGH West in Waltham (which is not easily accessible by T but which can be less hectic than the main MGH campus).

Love Lahey Arlington on Broadway street. They have many services, not all, but others are available at Lexington and Burlington offices. So nice to not fight the city traffic and high parking expenses to get healthcare. Parking is fee in Arlington and Lexington and very reasonable at Burlington.

Doesn't take insurance, but Courtney Little is the absolute best at taking a whole body (and mind) approach to nutrition, and I know that she's helped countless people with whom traditional medicine has fallen short-- especially people with serious digestive issues who went to her as a last hope. Check out her reviews on Facebook. Only downside (in addition to not being able to accept insurance) is that she's very popular... but I heard she's opened her schedule more to accommodate her popularity. http://nutritionwholehealthsolutions.com
