If you stay in the Vanderbilt area the hotels are a little cheaper (we stayed@the Hampton Inn last year), and they are not a far taxi from downtown. Drag yourselves out on Broadway for at least one night to hit up Tootsies or The Stage. I love Nashville!

Airbnb.com is usually the best way to go instead of a hotel. I'll get some info for you on places to go and things to do (I'm from Nashville) -- when are y'all going?

We have used Airbnb.com with our son and its great. I we prefer to find someones houses or condo to stay it. Its usually in a better setting and they have parking..

Calypso cafe, about five in town, and pancake pantry. And Jimmy Johns on West End makes a mean chicken salad with almonds and chili powder, if they still use that recipe.
