Here are the staffing agencies I've come across that seem to work: - Pangea Two - They've gotten two of my friends jobs relatively quick. One friend had just gotten laid off and she was employed within two weeks and loves the place she works. Other friend took several years off work for her kid and had not had much luck on the jobhunt, but they found her something within 2-3 weeks as well. They offer several competency tests for a variety of skills, which I like. - VIP Employment - A lot of people complain about this place, and admittedly it irritates me to no end that they post a bunch of bogus job ads on AL.com just to get peoples' resumes, but they got me a job pretty quick the last time I was looking for one. They have some tests for Word and Excel but that's about it. - ITAC - A previous coworker has had a lot of success with them - she got the job where I also work now, but got laid off and they found her something else within a few weeks. Avoid: - Snelling. I interviewed here about a month ago and they have yet to call me about anything. - Vaco. The dude I was assigned to was unprepared and unprofessional every time I talked to him. I was also very adamant about my interview availability but they continued to schedule interviews during times that I would have had to shuffle my lunch time around or take sick leave or vacation - and then they guilt tripped me for not being able to take off. Also they had similar competency tests to Pangea Two but they made me take a personality test based off the philosophies of [this dude](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Robbins) and that was just sort of odd? Edit: and in general on the job hunt, be very wary of Craigslist postings. A lot of them are scams, but specifically scams that steal identity info from resumes that people send in. D: Edit 2: One more thing, keep watch on [Alabama Non-Profit Association's Job Board](http://www.aansocial.org/).
