Recommendations for small business phone services I need an extra phone number (800 number) for my ecommerce small business. Preferably have it routed to my cell....

Twilio is only $1 a month and crazy cheap. Only issue is you have to put it on a server. But this is the way to go! I use it for all my businesses.

I've been using Dialpad

We have been happy with ringcentral. Super easy all around.

Google voice + Google voice app or hangouts dialer. If you need to route your GV number to a landline, use an Obihai VoIP adapter.

I know Google provides phone numbers that can be forwarded to a phone, but not too sure about 800 numbers

Ringcentral?

Try Phone.com as well. One of my business partners has been using it for years and has a lot of good things to say about it.

**So the problem with all of the online VoIP services is your internet connection. Because you go from your business, to your ISP, to another ISP, to their datacenter -- there are a lot of middle-men that could be congested, causing quality issues.** If you're routing it to your cell, that's a moot point. Go with grasshopper or ringcentral or google. But if you have employees on the phone all day and expect quality office phones... you'll need to buy from someone who has QoS - either your ISP or someone that works with your ISP.
Who would recommend to NEVER use their cell phone service company? I'm looking for a new cell phone company that has good service and would like to know what companies...
Metro or Travel Talk are probably your way to go then. Unless money is no object, in which case there are probably other options available...but at that point I'm not sure there will be enough measurable increase in service to justify the cost, especially in Paulding. FYI - I have a house in Hiram and my Metro phone works fine there. Sometimes you might have a dead spot in the basement, but that's just life...

How is Metro POS service? Like Sprints service seems decent until I get home and it disappears!!
Brandon I. replied:
Metro service is limited. I have Verizon I pay 60 a month for unlimited talk and text and 2 gigs of data. I only use a third of my data.
Mike A. replied:
I think if you ask enough people, you'll get a "XYZ sucks!!!" for every company out there. No cell service is perfect, and everyone likes theirs for different reasons. I dumped Verizon years ago for Metro PCS and have never looked back. There are things about Verizon that are better, but to me it wasn't better enough to justify spending $200+ per month instead of $50. In other words, you have to prioritize what aspects are the most important to YOU. Better and wider service? Price? Customer service?
Can anyone recommend a cell phone service other than Sprint or Verizon with good coverage in Hastings? Thanks
Samantha T. replied:
I've used Page Plus for over a year now. LOVE it! Cheap set dollar amount each month, won't let you go over the 3G of data, not like many would. They run off Verizon towers so you get excellent coverage. Only down fall is you can't use a 4G phone, has to be 3G.
Holly V. replied:
Straight Talk. Have used it for a few years now. Great coverage, good phones, and unlimited data!

Straight Talk. Have had it for several years, no contract. Thats a up side.

I don't recommend anyone to have phone service with Verizon they are the WORST& most expensive phone service! I'm ready to blow them UP! SPRINT is the BEST!
Ondrea B. replied:
Noooooo SPRINT is horrible I hate them so much I swear I wanna set fire to them! I'm switching to At&T when my contract is up
