Joyce is Farmers agent -they denied us, but she is a broker and can write for other companies. We are in ALT, have aggressive fire defensive clearing, hydrant access, etc - denied by every company we tried - Farmers, AAA, Allied, State Farm, Geico, Hartford, AARP and too many others to list. Pretty frustrating process!

My Farmers agent tried to sell me on the Calif Fair Plan policy. After researching other options I was told this really is a last resort and I would also need to purchase a separate liability policy. I would definitely call Atwood Agency before going with the CA Fair Plan. My policy is $1,100 for $390 k dwelling coverage, personal property and liability. $2,500 deductible. I was quoted $2,000 for a Lloyds of London policy.

We have Merced Mutual policy that we got through Atwood Agency Georgetown. 530-333-4362 They found me a policy for almost $1,000 less than the Lloyds policy another agent was trying to sell me. I got my renewal in February and no increase!

Ohhhh that's tough. I went through Walt Wiesner at Farmers in Cameron Park. He was the only one who got me insurance. It had to come from out of state. Not a great situation when buying my first home..
