Dog boarding in the metro area Can anyone recommend, from experience, a good place for boarding over the holidays? Anyone have any experience with "the dog house" in...

I've had pretty good experiences with [Club Pet DIA](http://www.clubpetresorts.com/) which is located near the turnoff onto Pena Blvd from I-70. Their prices are ala cart, and you can custom choose boarding options that are right for you. You can go basic with boarding only, or upgrade to options that include things like off-leash field walks & snuggle sessions. The place is clean, open 24-hours a day, and the staff are seemingly attentive. they also offer secure parking & shuttle service to DIA, which will save you a few bucks. I know they fill up quick, so make reservations well in advance of the holiday!

I know there are a ton of places to board your dog here in Denver; I've used places such as the Barkway on Larimer and it's worked out pretty well considering my dog gets claustrophobic. Have you ever thought about using a sitter through Rover.com though? I recently started using it since this Spring and I've found a few great sitters for my shy Golden Doodle. My dog much prefers to be at someone's house than a kennel.

Doggie Dude Ranch is my favorite, but they've been sold out over the holidays since June (I checked in September). I'm boarding my dogs at Canine Fitness and Fun (on Evans). We also use them for daycare and we've had great experiences so far.

I personally like rover as a good service to find a good personal sitter. I've always liked the idea of a person or family watching my dog vs a big boarder/business. Always had good luck and like the idea of having a meet and greet before deciding.

I run a small business here in Denver called Puppy Adventures. I offer high-energy dog hiking during the work week and dog-sitting anytime (including the holidays). I've got a team, so there are a few of us you can count on. info@puppyadventures.com to learn more. :) Thanks!

My daughter is loosing her ranch, she has chickens and wants to bring them to our house. Where can I go to get the complete scoop on keeping chickens in Aurora...Thanks
Daisy R. replied:
Sorry to hear that sad news. All about city chickens is on a link on the city website. On my phone so can't get it exactly, but go to Aurora.gov . It's on there in detail. In brief you can have 4 hens but no roos. Any extras you might be able to sell or trade to folks in the group here. Best.

We use Out U Go. Not cheap, but highly reliable, and they leave a note describing what your cat was doing when they came by (which doesn't sound like a big deal, but they're hilarious and it's my favorite part of the service).

Were are you located? I have used Your Best Friend's Friend, but they are only in the SE Denver area. But I just got my puppy back from Doggie Dude Ranch out by the airport and am SO happy with them. They have dogs and cats.
