Golfing near downtown? I am hosting a bachelor party of 8 guys in our mid twenties downtown the first weekend of May. We're looking for 18 hole golf courses within cab...

If you're going to be fucking around and morning drinking heavily, Lions might be the place because it is far less challenging than Morris Williams, and it's usually slow pace anyways. It's also closer to Downtown, and has some really cool views of Westlake Hills. Morris Williams has some cool views of some gas stations off MLK, and thats about it. TOP GOLF would clearly be the best place to take a bachelor party though IMO.

Have you seen [TopGolf](http://topgolf.com/austin/)? It's not exactly close to downtown, but is a fun golf/booze-related option.

There is always Pitch and Putt, near Butler park. Most of the people that go are around our age (mid 20 s). It's BYOB and usually everyone there is drinking having a good time. Right off of riverside so you have a view of the city and walkable distance to food and what not. Cons: Cash only, Only 9 holes Pros: Only need two clubs, they rent out some a dollar a piece. And everything I listed above.

Lions is fun and only 5 minutes from downtown, but also check out the [Hancock Park](http://www.austingolf.com/courses/details/Hancock%20Park%20Golf%20Course\)) golf course up on 35 th street, it's only 9 holes, but is a fun course with lots of elevation changes, and playing through it twice is still a good time. Also about 5 minutes from downtown.

Lions for sure.

I live near downtown, but I never play golf in the city. The courses are short, packed, expensive and played largely by slow old people or dorks that are way too proud about walking. For a bachelor party I wouldn't go to Lions, or Morris Williams. And Hancock isn't even a real course. Go a few minutes out of town to something like Shadowglen, Plum Creek or Grey Rock. The cab ride will be ten minutes longer but the round of golf will be 90 minutes faster.
I will be driving through Wisconsin soon, where can i find any frisbee golf courses to break up the drive? brewery tours, lighthouses?

I don't know about that, but friends of mine from there tell me there is a bar on every corner. No need to drive drunk, just walk home.

Take a right, drive down to 1985, take a left at Retardedfadsville and get your frisbee out of the trunk. Take an industrial strength weed eater too, you might have to cut away some brush from around the poles. I think there's a racquetball court right next to the frisbee golf course too, so have a field day.

Current HOTLR Major, enjoying a day on the golf course. Anyone looking for a furry caddy who doesn't actually carry the clubs but rides nicely in a golf cart?
