If you want second hand, dasa books at Phrom Phong is great. They have an online database of everything in stock. Very handy.

Dasa is an oasis. Kinokunyia is the only good reason to be in Paragon. Asia Books are always good, especially around Art/Architecture/Home Lifestyle and Thai Lifestyle, not to mention lots of stuff for foreigners, such as Bangkok Noir fiction.

Dasa.... Dasabookcafe.com. I was a regular there...very good.
Delia R. replied:
Dasa is good for second hand. You can also sell your books to them. There are Kinokuniya bookstores in Central World and Siam Paragon too. I prefer the one in Paragon. Kinokuniya also has a website where you can search for the book you want and see which branch has it. I forgot the name but Google will help you. Emporium and Central World also have Asia Books, another great place for English books.
Any good bookstores in Bangkok with a wide selection? (Written in English or Swedish)
Delia R. replied:
There is a small second hand book store opposite Emporium, as you get off the bts (Phrom Phong) and walk towards Villa. It was called Elite Books in the past but changed owners (and name probably but I can't remember it) and now it's a mix of Japanese, English and other languages. They usually have a book stand outside right at the entrance. Also next month Neilson Hays Library will host a book sale on 23-24 May. Really cheap books starting from 20 baht.
John B. replied:
Check out Dasa Books - they also have on online database for your perusal. http://www.dasabookcafe.com/

Ok if no one objects to a cheeky plug www.smilebookclubforkids.com She also generally has quite a few phonics and educational stuff which teachers seem to like.
DS (non-fiction) books in English. Local bookstores, libraries? Any and all advice appreciated!!
Adam B. replied:
Kinokuniya at either Siam Paragon or EmQuartier - the former has more non-fiction. Library - Neilson Hays on Surawong (just before it meets Silom soi 20).
Looking for A farewell to arms - Ernest Hemingway. If someone want to sell/giveaway or know of a bookstore that have it in stock it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
I am looking for someone willing to sell me their Harry Potter and the Cursed Child book. I have checked in like 7 book stores but they have all sold out, next shipment...
Hi - does anybody know a shop/bookshop that sells books or magazines or newspapers in Burmese language? Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thank you!
