I injured my tendons in my ankle a few years ago and went to almost every private hospital in Bangkok for physical therapy. It's not considered a medical field that is important here and the advice I got ranged from ineffective to dangerous. I finally went for a consultation in KL, at Gleneagles hospital and they laughed at what the PTs said in Bangkok. If it's serious, I would go to the best trained person you can find, what they told my in KL was after six months an injury starts to be permanent and after a year it's almost impossible to recover any further.
