Taifa Libres on carrer Verdi. Not only you can take all the time you want but there is always beautiful music and if you're lucky you'll witness someone playing piano.

Does anyone know if there's a used bookstore in BCN with English books? Or an English novel exchange? I'm reading more books than I can afford to buy.

There's a Second Hand bookstore in Gracia that's really good. Here's the website. http://www.hibernian-books.com/ It's super easy to find via metro. https://www.google.es/maps/place/Hibernian+Books/@41.401949,2.154654,17 z/data=!4 m2!3 m1!1 s0 x0:0 xeb1 ddc7 b4 e52 ec9 c

On reread ( reread.com) you can go to one of their stores and ask them for titles, they are cheap, have good books and can help you find what you are looking for
Where do you guys shop for nice stationery supplies here? I’m looking for something similar to Paperchase in the UK. I’ve tried Fnac and Raima but wasn’t too...

I've been reading books by this author lately. They are fiction but take place in Barcelona and use actual places, streets, etc from here. Great reads! Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Homage to Barcelona by Colm Toibin an Irish writer who has lived in Barcelona for many years. A series of insights into the city, its history and people. Agree too with Paul Norman that Robert Hughes book gives an indepth exploration of the origins of the city.
