I need to make an eye doctor appointment for my eight-year-old daughter ... We have CUP Insurance ... Recommendations please???
Leslie H. replied:
Dr. Barcus. Used to be on Parkway. I think they moved in the area where the cinema is.
Janna M. replied:
Vancouver Eye Care360-696-4691 and they take CUP.
Amy D. replied:
Don't know if she is in your insurance but the vancouver clinic by salmon creek hospital, Dr. Rarey. She is awesome!!
Savannah A. replied:
Richardson Eye of Battleground. The doctor there is the one that took over dr barcus and he is amazing.
Janna M. replied:
Dr. Rarey at The Vancouver Clinic only sees mbrs on CUP with a medical issue.
Melody G. replied:
I took my son to Vancouver eye and I didn't like it at all. Their appointments were months out, and they didn't handle my sons eye conditions properly. Dr. Richardson's took over Dr barcus and moved locations. We have cup insurance and I've been very happy with them. I also see them.
Billie R. replied:

Vivian A. replied:
Angel, most eye drs dont take CUP, but East Vancouver Eye Clinic does, and they are wonderful. I don't remember the name of the lady optomotrist my g'daughter sees there, but I love the way she interacts with her as a teenager. The clinic is about a block west of the Safeway on 164 th and 4 th Plain. I think you would like it there.
Amy D. replied:
I have seen Chapman also with my kids and much prefer Dr. Rarey as far as her bedside manner and she was much more communicative. My child got a diagnosis from Chapman and he didn't even mention it to me I only found out from our pediatrician. He is pretty dry with the kids also. Dr. Rarey and staff were way more kid friendly.
Janna M. replied:
Eye Care Specialists of Vancouver is in network with CUP ;)
Dee F. replied:

Went to Watters Vision today based on recommendations here. Great service, friendly staff, no upselling. I appreciate when the dr admits how ridiculous frame prices have become. Now to buy my glasses at zenni.com

Have you heard of Dr Watters? Maybe not but he's great and my family goes there.
Patricia J. replied:
I have a referral to Dr Waters group by Freddies and urgnet care
Jim B. replied:
If you want here in town, Watters Vision is the place to go....the busy packed waiting room/reception area speaks for itself. If you don't mind driving to Salmon Creek, Dr. Jana at Salmon Creek Vision is amazing. Dr. Waldo and Dr. Jana are a husband/wife team.
Gary L. replied:
Kevin Watters By Jack in the Box
Carol B. replied:
Waters Vision.
Mike R. replied:
Dr Watters is amazing in Fred Meyer parking lot
Krista W. replied:
I've been going to Dr. Watters for 15 years now - always very happy with him.
Mistie G. replied:
Watters for sure. We see Dr. Horch there and he is fantastic!
Does anyone have any experience with Vancouver Eye Care? Do you have a local recommendation that is an Ophthalmologist (not an Optometrist) and can do eye surgery?
Paula E. replied:
I go to Casey Eye Institute in Fischer's Landing, DR Hawng.
Laura F. replied:
Vancouver Eye Care is exceptional. I was a patient there until I had to switch to Kaiser. Our family has lots of eye problems, and my mom has had a couple of surgery's done by VEC, and they have preserved her vision from glaucoma and macular degeneration.
