Stick with people who groom and show. They know how to get nails done right. I've seen many dogs that have had it done at vet clinics not done well. Plus why make your dog go to the vet for trimming? Don't they hate it enough already? I recommend Happy Pooch.....a couple of my Dane clients go there and are very happy with them.
Angela A. replied:
Join Nextdoor.com for maple falls, there was a local vet tech that does trims.

Hi! This is Lindsey from Groom Room! I would love to do your pups! If your interested call me! 3604418957. And couple things that are unique about my little salon is I don't do big volume so it's quite, calm and I make a huge effort to do a groomer and pup trusting relationship. For the pups to understand that grooming is not scary. Rather a fun experience. Will leaving feeling fantastic!

i work at https://www.facebook.com/159756737413909 Rover Stay Over and we take any kind of dog and work out a system for your dog. older ones either go out with older ones or just by themselves and if thats the case then we for sure make it up with extra loves and cuddles. younger dogs we wither find them some friends and let them play play play or if they arent so great with others than we play fetch and do things to tire them out and get that energy out. give us a call or come check out the facility for a tour :)

Sue Ellen Bradley Weaver she was a rescue who had lived thinking the way she is, is normal. We have done lots of suggested training but she seems terrified she will never eat again, and crate training went horribly wrong and she chewed and clawed until she was bloody, and ate her plastic water dish, so did glass and she shattered that, she just is who she is at this point, we live a way that accommodates her, but with people wanting us to visit them I know boarding places don't accept certain behaviors.

I just used Dog Gone Gorgeous (up in the Cordata area) for the first time earlier this week and loved them for our cattle dog mix. Very kind, knowledgeable, and they have this great monthly bath package you can do monthly for a better price. Their website: http://www.doggonegorgeouspawspa.com/ On another note, where did you get your corgi? Our dog is really my husband's dog, and I very much want a corgi for myself. I've been researching breeders but would love a recommendation if you've had a good experience.

Yikes! Yeah we had to put our kitty on a diet after he had some issues too. But he was on antibiotics for a bit and we had to give him a bath after - my husband ended up at urgent care with a bite to the hand. He's normally a veryyyyy docile/laid back cat, but if you try to bathe him he freaks out. Maybe try a local vet? They might be able to sedate him before hand.
Zecyor replied:
I have a grumpy 17 year old cat. He's about good for a 30 minute trim... 45 if you tightly wrap him in a towel when he's getting his nails cut. He does not get washed... ever. He's basically one of those animals you expected to die last year but he is so grumpy he insists on sticking around for 3 more years. From what I understand, groomers do not enjoy cutting cat hair. However, the only groomer that I have found in the area is hightonepetspa.com. PS: I really don't want Jasper to die... probably because he's so grumpy.

Geology--Rockz replied:
As someone else mentioned, you might be able to talk to your vet and get calming medications/supplements for the grooming. Also, the vet might be able to give you some groomer recommendations. The humane society might also be able to provide recommendations, they have an awesome staff working there. Good luck!

High Tone pet spa on Meridian grooms cats. My partner and I took our two cats in February and it was a great experience. One of our cats who is long haired and hates water got a trim and actually calmly sat in the bathe the entire time. Just a heads up it's a little pricey.
