For a great vet, Bellingham Vet on James, to fix your cat, We-Snip they will even pick him/her up and bring home if you are unable.
Kayla W. replied:
We took one of our cats to WeSnip. They take donations and they wont turn anyone away! They're really great. Or Mountain Vet. We took our other kitty and dog there. They do the best job and they are also great. It's been awhile since we have been there but they use to do payment plans. I'm not sure if they still do.

NOAH 31300 Brandstrom Rd, Stanwood, WA 98292 (360) 629-7055 I drove both my cats down there and picked them up as I didn't want them to be in the van they use to transport for people who can't drive there. They do thousands every year and their prices can't be beat. They were very kind to me and my 2 cats. Spraying the blanket or bedding in their crate with Feliway helps keep them calm too. My cats yearly care is at Kulshan in Lynden but the cost was hundreds more than I could afford at the time for Kulshan to fix them.

I'm gonna be taking my kitten in sometime next week I can let you know or message Bonnie Karb and ask her. she had her cat done there.

Dollar Wise in Bakerview. My friend had her dogs tooth removed for less than $150.00. Most vests in Bellingham are around 500 for same procedure.
Laura T. replied:
Kulshan vet. Isn’t exactly cheap but Figo pet insurance can help with big costs. Highly do not recommend fountain. Place is covered in carpet which is highly unsanitary and due to their past drug scandal and poor treatment of animals it is not worth any money saving. At that point dollar wise at least would be cleaner and their Saturday guy is great.

Mountain Veterinary hospital on the mount Baker highway by Smith road is only 45 dollars to be seen and then anything else that needs to be they can tell you how much and if you can cover the 45 when you go in they sometimes work out a payment plan.
Sherrie D. replied:
Kulshan is amazing however they are the best and have an in house lab and vets that are up to date on all new medical procedures and medicines. However if price is a problem Christine Carlson at Blaine Animal Hospital is a great vet and lower priced. Im sorry about your moms dog, and most vets are close to the same price to euthanize.

I started to going to Fairhaven vet for ease of location this fall, after moving across the country. I won't be going anywhere else. I lost both of my cats this fall, one hit by a car and the other from cancer. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Johnson and the staff in helping me cope with the loss of both my boys. Dr. Johnson diagnosed Ares' kidney cancer quickly and was incredibly informative and helpful in helping me understand all the options. Her bedside manner, if you will, was unlike any vet I've experienced. She diligently followed up, always made time for my calls - which were always lengthy. When we finally adopt again, Fairhaven vet will have our continued business. A friend of mine tried them and said she thought they were pricey and didn't love the vet she saw, but I had the complete opposite experience. They were all about finding cheaper medications and were honest about tests that should be done vs. stuff that isn't necessary, but is an option. They were a bit pricier than my vet on the east coast, but totally worth it, IMO. People rave about Maplewood, and I did get in touch with them. I had them on call (and they were awesome to talk to on the phone and email) when we first moved here, just in case we needed anything, but we moved to close to Fairhaven vet, it just seemed logical to give them a try. I've also had experience with Fountain Vet on Meridian (had to take a friend's dog for an emergency visit) and they were pretty good, too. Vet sat on the floor with the dog and didn't rush the appointment, made sure she was comfortable before poking and prodding.

Village Vet is a really great place. Take my bird, cat and dog there and I love them. Tried Northshore a few times, but it's so hard to get an appointment there, even for the simplest things. I feel like they have too many clients and not enough staff.

The best and cheapest place I have found is Dr O'roarke Animal Care center in Mt Vernon. My shihtzu needed to be intubated as she is extremely flat faced and it wasnt even $100.00. Fyi. Dr O roarke can be gruff but he knows his stuff. He stays current and is really knoelegeable. I work rescue, Dollarwise and Banfield are places to stay away from. Pm me and I can share with you. Maplewood is spendy but again very good. Kulshan awesome vets and about the middle of the road price wise. I prefer Kulshan they have an inhouse lab and very knowledgeable vets. The front desk is in training. So be patient if you call

Fountain Vet did a neuter and shots for $200 on a 25 lb dog. maybe a bit more for a big one.

Whatcom Veterinary Hospital is spaying my 70 pound German Shepard for a little over $200. Usually neuters are a little cheaper since they arent as involved. Whatcom has amazing vets and staff who definitely know what they are doing. I would advise against dollarwise. I have heard some horror stories from them...
